Low Country Stem Festival returns to Charleston, SC!

It was the second year, and what a turn-out!  With an estimated crowd of 7500 visiting the exhibits and hands on STEM projects at Brittlebank Park, the Low Country Stem Festival showcased how to make an airplane, robots, math projects, a telescope to view the sun, the human brain, a banana playing the piano,

rockets, and much, much more with multiple fun experiences for children of all ages.Backpackers from the A Backpack Journalist class at the Burke Middle High School/21st Century Expanded Day Learning, Downtown Community Center spent the day visiting each booth and participating in the projects and even once, on stage dancing the “earthquake”!
