Daniel Jones, Intern, A Backpack Journalist

To Friends of A Backpack Journalist:

We are pleased to announce that the Global Alliance for Arts & Health, with various national arts and health organizations supporting it (The Kennedy Center, Americans for the Arts, The National Endowment for the Arts and many others)  have reached out to A Backpack Journalist.  They reviewed our program and also PTSD, Won’t Stop Me, music video, starring Daniel Jones, our music Intern and Army Reserve youth.  Our mission is to “Build Resilience through Creative Expression”.
At the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland on April 10, 2013 at the 2nd National Summit:  Arts, Health and Well-being Across the Military Continuum,  Linda Dennis will be serving on the panel for the “Families and Caregivers” and sharing information on our program and the proven benefits of “creative expression”.
And, today we learned that Daniel Jones will be performing LIVE to the entire command and at the Summit. Daniel has written several inspirational songs as well as performed in the video.   Daniel is the host of our new Internet based radio program. The panel discussion will also be attended by Jeralexia Mitchell, a Backpack Journalist Intern and a member of the DC National Guard Youth Program.
