A Backpack Journalist workshops provide rotations of each subject module.

• Writing – Broadcast, Journaling, Journalistic Writing – Interview and Report
• Photography – Portrait and Environment – Digital Storytelling
• Song writing – RAP to Jazz and Rock n Roll
• Cowboy Poetry – “REAL” Cowboys teaching the history of our country to prose!
• Film making – documentary to real “movie-making”  Includes script development. 

Each A Backpack Journalist workshop offers rotations of these modules.

Please read each description as each A Backpack Journalist Workshop varies as to which modules are offered!

Workshops range in 1-2-3-4- days, with a final presentation that includes exhibits of the students work.

Our goal is to provide a workshop of fun, education and “real-world” experiences, to help each youth find their “Voice” and to build resilience through creative expression

• We are not like school! (Sssh!…)  It’s a creative experience!
• We are not the typical writing class or photography class or film making experience!
• NO one fails or is graded, all pass!
• All will learn something new and meet new friends!
• Each will  complete a  portfolio (work), digitally and in print!
• We only use the latest and greatest technology tools!
