MINI MIMES – Cinema Arts Class!

Backpack Journalists: Making the World Smile Again: a Cinema Arts Class/Pantomime!  Join our MINI MIME TROUPE.  So what’s involved?

Give this thought.

We are living through the COVI9 Pandemic, the ending of a “war” so it would seem that today is very much like the early 1900’s, following World War I, and the Flu Epidemic. It was Charlie Chaplin’s funny silent black and white films that helped to heal all – worldwide, helping people smile again. He in fact wrote the song: Smile!  Armistice Day thousands came out to see him when he was in London!

Making the World Smile Again!!” is our theme and focus in short videos and live
performances by our “MINI Mime Troupe”. using Pantomime, and body movements of expression.

These performances are sending special messages for those who are sick or shut-in, and need a “happy message”. Or, just to share an original story, and put a smile on someone’s face.  We will video each of these stories, and make available on line and through our Social Media.

Come take a class:

Learn how to communicate using Pantomime and Cinema Arts Techniques as was found in many of the films by Charlie Chaplin. Each student will participate in writing a script, learning the Pantomime and Acting techniques to communicate, rather than dialog.
