OUR MINI MIME TROUPE, WITH THE TRAMP – “LITTLE Charlie Chaplin”! FLOWERS FROM TRADER JOES, SANDPIPER INDEPENDENT VILLAGE, MT. PLEASANT, SC OCT, 30, 2021

COMING SOON – a film about today!  Below a short article about the event, and the MOVIE will share all the fun and laughter!

Today, MINI MIMES and Little Charlie Chaplin’s The Tramp visited and performed at the Sandpiper Independent Living (The Village) in Mt. Pleasant, SC.  The yard was filled with the Senior Residents and their families!  Our stage was in front of the Community Center.  The Mt. Pleasant Police were at the gate making sure we were safe inside on the road, as it was our stage.  Many of our friends joined us – all dressed in their Halloween Costumes, and that added to the festivities.

The MNI MIMES and Little Charlie Chaplin, first walked in the “Tramp” way, and then quietly – without a sound, shared; “MIMES DON”T TALK”!  Lots of hand motion. then a jazzy hand!

They performed a PLAYGROUND, with trees, see-saws, jump rope and a tug of war with a rope.

Next was the Pirate Ship, with alas so many mates – NOT working, and with the Captain, coming in and with his cain, thumping the ship’s flooring!  UP they came, and within seconds the Captain ordered each off the gang plank!  Each MIME with enthusiasm, shared their “jump”, from holding their nose as they entered the water, to many just getting scared and running back to the ship.  This scene closed with all the MIMES going back to work and at the end freezing to totally still.

JAZZY hands were often held high, and walks that included the Famous TRAMP –  Chaplin walk and kick, and  a special thank you, as they took a bow with the bowler hat removed and each bending at the waist.  They did this before the audience several times – laughing and having lots of fun,

Just added was a sequence of each going through a window. One MIME as he went through the window ended up hugging his special pup.

The residents from Sandpiper often laughed, clapped and as we closed asked  for the age of each performing. They all lined up – and shard their names, schools and ages!  Ages 6 to 11!  Schools: East Cooper Montessori School, The Gates Academy and Mt. Pleasant, Academy.

Laughter and love shared today with so many, and at the closing – OFF to trick or treating throughout the Sandpiper Village!  We were the first ever and thank you Mt. Pleasant police for helping us!
