Columbia, SC – South Carolina Military Museum – location across from the USC Football Stadium, National Guard Drive.
We spent two days there walking through the expansion of exhibits from the founding of the America’s to the Battle at Sullivan’s Island and the creation of the South Carolina Flag and displays featuring World War 1 and 11, and the Korean War. Many interviews with the staff, and learned so much about the future expansions to come.
In Gallery 2, we found the exhibit honoring Carolina Day – Welcome Home to South Carolina Vietnam Veterans.
We were there and rode in the bike ride through Columbia, as we carried yellow ribbons with the names of those South Carolinians who gave their life serving in the Vietnam Conflict.
Bringing back so many memories – of that special day and the showing of the film:
“In their own Words: South Carolina Vietnam Veterans.”
